Just off Ooty Main Road in Mettupalayam, Black Thunder sits at the base of the Nilgiris — right where the road starts its climb toward Kallar and the hairpin bends. It’s a water and amusement park with wave pools, water slides, and dry rides, spread across a large landscaped site with the hills as a backdrop. For families travelling with children, it’s an easy half-day detour to build into the drive — either as a first stop out of Coimbatore or a cool-down break on the way back down from Ooty.
